QA & QC AND VISUAL INSPECTION

INTRODUCTION

Product, reliability and cost effectiveness have become key elements for facing the challenge of competition and increasing product salability and customer satisfaction.

Customers are now increasingly specifying that fabricators manufacture the required product as per relevant fabrication codes. Manufacturing as per fabrication codes requires a symmetric and disciplined approach in Design, Construction and Inspection

OBJECTIVES

This course will enable the participants to understand the purpose and elements of Quality Assurance and Quality Control programmed for welding. This will be able to upgrade, improve the welding activities in their workshops to conform to relevant code requirements.

FACILITATOR

1. Mr. S.P. NARAYANAN whom is qualified in Mechanical Engineering and Steam Certificate Engineer has 30 years of experience in operation & maintenance of palm oil mill.

He has undergone various training in United Kingdom, Germany and Italy in controls & automation systems and cable manufacturing.

He has also conducted various public and in-house welding programs with SIRIM, FMM, RCFISET-UM, and OUM for palm oil, rubber, cement, mining, shipyard and many other industries. He is currently involved on failure analysis and wear problems in palm oil and other industries. Conducted approximately 50 public programmes on Reclamation Welding Technology for Palm Oil Industries (Certificate Course), Reclamation Welding Technology for General Industries (Certificate Course) and Welder Certification – SMAW (ASME Section IX – 3G/6G).

 

FACILITATOR

2. Mr. JEGATHESAN has vast experience in welding industry for more then 15 years in various Oil &Gas Industry, Power plant, Construction, Shipbuilding and other Petrochemical construction. Passed the Institute of Welding Abington Hall Cambridge on Welding Inspection (CWSIP 3.2) His vast knowledge and experience in Welding Technology has contributed to the success of various industries. He has conducted training and qualifying welders in major industries capacity as Welding inspector. He well versed with all international codes ASME, BS, AWS, and API.
